Today I moved from Nagwa to Kabir Nagar, which is a small colony right across the street from Durga Kund. It is a great place to be, there’s electricity and running water and it’s actually a home-like atmosphere. That’s about all I have to say about that.
Kabir Nagar is a great location; I can, from here, catch a rickshaw to Godowlia or to BHU for cheap, and the market is pretty sweet. I can get anything I want, by just walking to the main street because Durga Kund is a very visited/popular location.
We called a rickshaw from the street to come to Nagwa to pick me up (and my stuff) and somehow we fit it all into a rickshaw (such is India) and I went thus to Kabir Nagar. If you don’t know what a rickshaw is, it’s a bicycle with two wheels in the back instead of one. The person pedaling sits on the front seat (until which point it is just a bicycle), and in between the two back wheels there is a bench-like seat (it’s about 3 feet wide and 1 foot deep – not very huge) with a footrest for the rider(s). So somehow all of everything I had fit on that thing and I made it to Kabir Nagar! Yay!
